Observe Everything

leaves
Sharpen your powers of observation by taking part in #ObserveEverything, a special project of the Science Friday radio show's Science Club. Anyone can participate—just start by observing something that grabs your attention!

Record your observations as data, images, film, audio, or graphics. You can share your observations on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, or Vine with the hash tag #ObserveEverything, or e-mail them to scienceclub@sciencefriday.com. On Science Friday's website, you can explore what everyone else is observing. #ObserveEverything will be highlighted on sciencefriday.com and Science Friday's social media feeds during October. Tune  in to the October 24 broadcast when #ObserveEverything will be the hot topic for discussion.

Add fun hands-on STEM explorations to your observations with Science Friday activities at Howtosmile.org. For example, observe the motion of stuffed animals in Zip Line Zoo to explore gravity, practice measuring distances and angles, and analyze rates. Observe and measure how well you grip a wet object when your fingers are smooth versus wrinkly in Test the Finger Wrinkle Hypothesis. And observe which kinds of light—incandescent, ultraviolet, infrared or fluorescent—make a glow-in-the-dark star shine its brightest in Glowing in the Dark.
