Learners explore the physical properties of a variety of balls and how they bounce. The point of the activity is not necessarily to have students arrive at a precise explanation for the phenomena they are investigating, but to provide learners with scientific experience and guide them to reflect upon this experience. Learners can use an included Science Flowchart to chart their scientific experience. This lesson serves as a good introduction to the nature of scientific inquiry.
