This activity (on page 2 of the PDF under SciGirls Activity: Malformed Frogs) is a full inquiry investigation into using indicator species to assess the health of an environment. Groups of learners will collect as many frogs as they can from a pond, looking for malformations, which will be documented and further sorted as either symmetrical or asymmetrical.
