In this activity, learners use tsunami time travel maps to predict how long it will take a tsunami to reach the shore. The objectives of this lesson include being able to explain the physical processes and characteristics of tsunamis, plot latitude and longitude, interpret tsunami travel times and evaluate historical tsunami statistics from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration NOAA.
