In this activity, learners will investigate air and gravity through the use of various fabrics by through them in the air. Activity includes step-by-step instructions and extension ideas. A Spanish version of the activity is also included.

Quick Guide
Materials List (per student)
- Parachute Canopy: plastic bag, large coffee filter, sheet of tissue paper, 12 inch square of mylar emergency blanket, or 12 inch square of plastic tablecloth
- String, twine, or yarn - 2 pieces cut 18 inches long (or the length of a child’s arm)
- Stickers
- ½ plastic egg or paper cup
- Small toy (optional)
