In this activity, learners surprisingly pop balloons without touching them using orange peels. This Mr. O video explains how the d-limonene found in orange peels dissolves the latex of the balloon using the chemistry concept of "like dissolves like." Safety note - do not try this experiment if people taking part in the activity or nearby have a latex or citrus allergy.
