In this demonstration, learners observe the effects of density and pressure by attempting to make "balloon kebabs." Learners will try to insert a wooden skewer all the way through an inflated balloon without popping it. Then, they will discover how they can insert the skewer in areas with lower surface tension without breaking the overall surface of the balloon. This activity guide includes a helpful video that demonstrates each step of the demonstration.
