Learners examine the properties of light by experimenting with an LED-flashlight and polarizing filters. When two polarizers are used, they block all light when they are placed at right angles. When three polarizers are used, some surprising results are seen. This activity starts on p.19 of the manual. This manual contains four activities related to the Spectra: The Original Laser Superhero Force comic book published by the American Physical Society.
