In this activity, learners explore mammal locomotion by constructing flipbooks. This resource contains flipbook PDFs and background information about the following animals: Thomson's Gazelle, Short-Nosed Fruit Bat, Long-Beaked Common Dolphin, American Black Bear, Red Kangaroo, and White-Handed Gibbon. Learners will watch how each animal moves and compare the different styles and speeds of locomotion. These could also be used in a unit about animation.
