Frogs vs. toads: how to tell the difference

Do you lie awake at night wondering about the differences between frogs and toads? We do. We're so excited about our new hands-on frog and toad activities from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums that we've become consumed with all things amphibian.

Even if you don't obsess to the extent that we do, you might be interested to know that both frogs and toads belong to the order of Anura, and that the line between the two is not always clear--some toads have very froggy attributes, while some frogs closely resemble their toady cousins.

Fans of the classic book Wind in the Willows fans already know that toads are bad drivers. Fortunately, there are other ways to tell toads from frogs. Thanks to Toadily Toads for the annotated photos of frog and toad attributes.
